Avoid this "Florist

I wish I checked these reviews before ordering flowers for a friend. I would give ZERO stars if that option was available. My delivery has not been made, and inquiries to the company (via an automated menu on the website) result only in a popup message that they will "get back to me." Phone calls also result only in an automated service, and you will never be able to talk to a representative. I intend to dispute the charges on my credit card as soon as I get the bill.

Dead Flowers and TERRIBLE Customer Service

My husband has had a colon resection and my work sent a vase and 10 stemed Sunflowers to our house - I received 10 DEAD flowers and a Vase. I called customer service and asked if they could resend me some live flowers - I was told NO - however, they would let me BUY another arrangement at 50% off. I explained these arrived dead and were a get well gift. I asked to talk to a manager and they said they would have a manager call me back - NO CALL BACK. I called my work and had them dispute the charge on their credit card as they shouldn't have to pay for DEAD FLOWERS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, they should be ashamed!

Don't waste your good intenions!

My first order was not delivered when it was supposed to be. I called the company to question this and they submitted a second order. When the second order came it was not a fraction of what the pictures showed online. There were a total of 10 stems, two of which were dead, and one of them was dying. I had to call customer service no fewer than five times getting a different result each time before on the fifth time I finally connected with someone. Now going online I am seeing abysmal reviews and I see why. Do not order from these people it is a waste of your money and your good intentions. Avas flowers should be ashamed. I only rated avas flowers one-star because zero Stars was not an option on the computer!

ARRANGEMENT SENT WAS NOT THE ARRANGEMENT ORDERED

I ordered a beautiful arrangement that pictured Roses Mums Glads & Carnations. All white except Roses were red. I ordered size large standing arrangement. The picture that a family member sent was upsetting. A few white carnations & 6 red ones & small, did not resemble order at all. Then Avas offered me a credit to acct. Or a refund to card. I just hung up. This was my sister & the last flowers she would get from me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM AVAS AGAIN. They are not even a 1 rating.

What I ordered online is not what was delivered!

I paid a total of $72.93 for a flower selection. My friend posted a picture and it wasn't even close. She thought someone just bought her fliers and left them at work for her. Not even close to the flowers I ordered and the gorgeous arrangement. See the photos. Pathetic.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

I ordered flowers via the company's toll-free number for a friend's birthday. I ordered them on a Monday, December 21 to be delivered the next day. While on the phone, the representative kept trying to upsell me, which was annoying. The flowers never arrived. I went to the company web site and inquired several times as to the whereabouts of my order. No one replied for a week. On Monday, December 28, I waited on hold for a total of 45 minutes to speak to a representative. I was told that because my order fell during their holiday period there was no delivery date guarantee, and that the information was indicated on the web site. I could not find anything on the web site. No one told me when I called that there could be a problem, nor to visit the web site for further information. The representative finally agreed to refund the price of the flowers but kept the 'service fee' of $17.00.

Would give zero stars if i could

Purchased a sympathy arrangement, only to have it not delivered. Customer service emailed saying it wouldn't be delivered because they were out of the particular flowers and that I had to pick a new set. Fine. They called before I could and said they would send a substitution. They didn't - i got a follow up email saying i had to pick one out. Then they couldn't deliver because it was too late in the day and there was a holiday following - now they've charged extra for an additional service fee and still no flowers, and no expected delivery date. So much for sympathy - they won't even let me cancel the order.

Terrible Company!

My son sent me flowers for my birthday and paid extra to have them delivered on my birthday. That was three days ago. After multiple calls and emails they finally admitted they had the address wrong. No apology, no offer to fix it, no flowers. Do not buy from this company, they are a total sham. I'm contacting the better business bureau next. Ugh! This is a picture of where my flowers should be!

Consumer Beware of AvasFlowers

Their address is listed as 200 Continental Dr Suite 401, Newark, DE 19713, United States, but just try to find it on Google Maps. I had no luck. The website leads you to believe that you are dealing with a business located in the hometown of the person to whom you are sending flowers. I wanted to give my business to a local Minnesota firm - especially now during Covid 19 business challenges. Fat chance. AvasFlowers quietly slipped in a "bow charge" of $4.00 and a "service charge" of $20.00 besides the cost of the bouquet. My sis DID get flowers, but the sticky label on the wrapping said they had come from the floral section of a local grocery store. Duped! Be smarter than I was!

It took about 5 minutes to get an agent on the phone. However, the agent was rude, often speaking over me, so I felt that the customer service was highly unsatisfactory.

Typical of most companies. Press one for this and two for that. It took about two minutes to reach a live person.

BEWARE- it's a scam!
BEWARE- it's a scam! Ordered 3 get-well balloons and chocolates for a sick kid, to be delivered the next day. (Also Tricked during call into buying a get well card and ribbon, because all they said was "and what color do u want the ribbon to be? And what do you want written on the card?", as if they were free with order). Instead of delivering the next day, they did a bait-and-switch. They called and told me the chocolates wouldn't be available, and the rest couldn't be delivered until the next day, but for all the trouble I was going through, they'd "throw in an orchid plant". Well, they ended up CHARGING me for that plant, saying I had agreed to pay for it. Then, instead of 3 get-well balloons, they delivered ONE happy birthday balloon, without even a stick or ribbon tied to it to hold it by! And NO get-well card and ribbon, although they were charged for. When I called, they said I had VERBALLY agreed to all these changes during the prior call, (as if I would agree to a birthday balloon for a sick kid). They agreed to refund me $20, meaning I just paid $74 for a tiny bear, and the wrong sad balloon without a ribbon, and all a day late. I filed with BBB, and am disputing with CC. Everyone should, till these scam artists are run out of "business".

I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.

Their ad online, and the fact they were supposedly a family owned business. Maybe they are, After all, crime families own a lot of businesses.
